CELEBRATING 30 YEARS OF GOLF CHANNEL | JAN. 07
Update: 2025-01-07
Description
The revolution WAS televised! The past 30 years have seen astronomical growth in the game, and Golf Channel has put it all live on the air. Damon Hack & Eamon Lynch welcome in Rich Lerner to discuss what the Golf Channel has meant to the game since we first came on the air in January of 1995 -- and share some of the legendary stories he's picked up in his 28 years here. Just because we're in anniversary mode in the studio doesn't mean we're asleep on the job, though -- especially with the Hawaii swing in full gear! Todd Lewis joins us from the Sony Open in Hawaii to find out how the course is shaping up, and how the tournament will honor its defending champion: the late Grayson Murray. As we look back at the past today, we also get a glimpse into the game's future as the first match of the TGL gets underway tonight! The simulator golf league founded by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy is making a splashy entrance to the scene, but is there substance? Rex Hoggard has been to their facility in South Florida and joins us to weigh in.
